kuala terrengganu trip

lIts about Kuala Terrengganu trip from 15/8/13-17/8/13. I went with baby and his friend Gan to visit Shu Jiun who got posted there. Left at 9am reached at 5.30pm.

We stayed at DJ Citypoint hotel. It was quite cheap but due to school holiday we had to pay extra RM20. We were quite satisfied with the room tho its small (superior with 2 singles) but the cleanliness is not bad especially the toilet.

We went Chinatown for our first stop.

Tauhu.
Chicken dish which they dont serve everyday. Lucky us.
Pork.

Funny thing is baby fell when he was too excited seeing stairs going down to river side. He didnt know the last step was all mud. Luckily he didnt slip n fell into the river. == We had to send him back to clean up while waiting for Shu Jiun's friend to join us.

We headed to Waterfront for "dinner" but keropok lekor was sold out. But i wasnt that disappointed because we found nice special food too!

Vanilla pancake. Damn awesome!!
Milo pancake. I was melted lorrr.
Mushroom soup with breads.

Planned the next day shouldnt be boring :D

SECOND DAY

Breakfast! Chinatown again for the bread that SJ likes very much. The guys were complaining like we should eat something local but we keep going back and forth at Chinatown. lol. but the breakfast was quite surprisingly nice!

The bread was prepared with microwave and the crispyness with cold butter block is just perfect combination.

Then we headed to Taman Tamadun Islam which is a place with all the mini replicas of mosques around the world. At first thought from hearing the name of the place we were like what?! But after reading about it we found that it might not be a bad choice. And we were right. We had so much fun although it was super hot and sunny.

More photos but lazy to post it up.

Of course, we have to pay for entrance fee which i dont remember. >< I guess was about RM20? But the quadcycle was RM30 and thats the best part during the while visit.

Next was lunch. We headed for Indian food near our hotel.

Then went for a stroll around the area while waiting for Gan's local friend and SJ's colleague who is a local too to bring us for awesome local foods.

Went Seberang Takir for food!!
Ikan pari.
Malay snacks. Not bad.

Sotong egg. First time trying and got addicted. haha
Fried sotong. All time favourite.
Very pretty ice kacang!!!

Next is Gelas Besar.

RM4.50. And you can mix the choices of fruits.

Local laksa? Not my type of food but ok taste.

Gan's friend brought us to a very beautiful place for sunset.

Haizie took this for us. Damn good photographer.

I took this lar. Nice leh.

We then went to Masjid terapung before dinner.

Dinner time! Met up with her friends and we settled at Tappers. Yea not very local but because some places are closed so not much choices left.

Dinner over and next is prepare for night activity.
Before we went SJ's car broke down (prolly because of us :( because we went around too much). Settled everything and we continue with the plan.

Nice funny night. HAHA

Morning! Last day here so must fully utilize it. We walked to SJ's place and on the way we stopped by a stall and ate nasi briyani and nasi minyak.

Heavy breakfast but satisfaction is enough.

Went Pantai Batu Buruk for a walk before going next station.

We went to Pasar Payang for souvenirs and food since they said its going to be refurbished so better to visit before its replaced.

Then we went back to hotel to "check out" but before that it was a surprise birthday celebration for SJ.

Then we went to Chinatown again for the toasted bread but at another shop.

Cant have enough of it. XD

Baby's pork chicken duck rice. Even the boss is confused on the pricing. LOL

Yup thats all for the trip. Short but overall i had fun. I'm sure other had even more fun because they are close to each other but hardly get to see each other often.
